Group ride safety tips

“ Riding in a group is about working together as a unit. The goal here is riding at 60% of your limit.” 1) No overtaking. We have a strict no overtaking each other policy. Its your job to look after the rider in front and ensure the rider behind is with you at every turn. 2) Wait for the rider behind you. If you're at the back, then this does not apply to you ;) As we don't want to loose anyone, it is your responsibility (Rider X) to wait for the rider behind you (Rider Y) at any junctions, or turning points where we veer off. When rider Y arrives at the same junction and comes to a full stop, you may then continue on route. It is then Rider Y's responsibility to wait at the same junction for Rider Z etc. This way we don't loose anyone and you can play catchup :) 3) The GPS in front leads. If you have the route of the day on your GPS, there will always be differences. If you are not the designated control GPS, switch off the voice, activate auto recalculate and enjoy a carefree ride. The "leading" GPS.... leads. 4) Riding formation. Keep yourself as much as possible in the mirror of the rider in front. Keep out of each others blind spots.
